He told them, "Tell Pharaoh that my father made me swear an oath. He said to me, 'I am about to die; take my body
back to the land of Canaan, and bury me in our family's burial cave.' Now I need

So the servant took a solemn oath that he
would follow Abraham's instructions.

So Isaac named the well "Oath," and from that
time to this, the town that grew up there has been called Beersheba-"well of the
oath."
So Jacob insisted, "Well then, swear to me right now that it is mine." So
Esau swore an oath, thereby selling all his rights
as the firstborn to his younger brother.
But if you go to my relatives and they refuse to let her come, you will be
free from your oath.'
