Wealth:
A Michigan mega-church has bought its pastor a $3.65 million mansion.  I know that pastors do not have to take a vow of poverty, but neither should they get a vow of wealth.

The 35 year old Florida man who jumped off the balcony of a cruise ship survived for eight hours in the water because he weighed 300 pounds and could float.  It is the only thing junk food companies can boast about recently.

Problems:
I like how President Bush delivered punch lines at the annual Radio & Television Correspondents' Association dinner in Washington.  Bush said, "A year ago my approval rating was in the 30s, my nominee for Supreme Court had just withdrawn, and my vice president had shot someone."  He then added, "Those were the good ol' days."

Lucky:
A judge ruled that Scott Wiese who lost a Super Bowl bet can't legally change his name to Peyton Manning because it might infringe on the privacy of the NFL quarterback.  Scott got real lucky, but I bet he will not do anymore bar bets for a while.

Humbling:
The first contestant to be voted off "Dancing With The Stars" was Paulina Porizkova.  It must be humbling to be beaten by a Boston Mailman.

Reward:
A man accused of terrorizing Phoenix in a series of random late-night shootings thinks he deserves a discounted subscription from East Valley Tribune newspapers as a reward for generating headlines.  Well, you generated another one, and still you're not getting a discount.

Comfort:
Research from the State University of New York showed that stressful periods are easier to get through with a pet than with a  spouse.  I think this is because the spouse is the one causing the stress.

Strange:
There is news about a mouse from Maine who escaped capture three times and made off with the homeowner's lower dentures.  The wife says that she feels that the mouse is taunting her husband.  I have a couple words:  It's time to get a cat.
