He concludes: "First, Satan would lead people from a legitimate striving for security to a wrongful striving after money — greed. Second, Satan would lead people from a legitimate striving for acceptance to a wrongful striving after recognition — honor. Finally, Satan would lead people from a legitimate appreciation of their self-worth to sinful self-indulgence — pride.
