To a certain young boy, the Cleveland Browns were more than just a football team. The Browns had on their roster the great running back, Jimmy Brown. When the Browns played in Los Angeles, the boy, who considered Jimmy Brown a hero, stood at the locker room door waiting for the Cleveland team to finish dressing after a game. Suddenly his hero appeared in the doorway, bigger than life. The youngster was awestruck. Nervously he blurted out, "Mr. Brown. Mr. Brown, you're my hero!" "Yeah, sure kid," Brown mumbled while signing autographs. Intent on getting his attention, the boy said, "Mr. Brown, I've collected all your football cards, know all your records by heart, and watch you whenever I can." Brown, somewhat disturbed by the boy's persistence, grunted back, "Great, kid. Keep me in your dreams." Finally, the determined kid tugged on Jimmy Brown's coat and said, "Mr. Brown, I not only know your records, but I plan to break every one of them." Jimmy Brown stopped in his tracks, knelt down, and looked this kid squarely in the eyes. "What's your name, kid?" Brown respectfully asked. The youngster knew he had Jimmy Brown's attention now.
