In The Life of Florence Nightingale, we find the angel nurse of the Crimea and the mother of modern nursing asking, "Who are the ministering angels?" She answers: "The angels are not they who go about scattering flowers; any naughty child would like to do that. The ministering angels are they who, like nurse or ward maid, do disgusting work, removing injury to health or obstacles to recovery, emptying slops, washing patients, and numerous other menial and often distasteful tasks, for all of which they receive no thanks. These are the angels." Quote this article on your site | Views: 367 | Print | E-mail
