When Arturo Toscanini was conducting a rehearsal of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and had judged that all were ready, he had them play the entire work without interruption. When the finale had reached its stirring close, there was silence. "Who am I?" he asked. "Who is Toscanini? I am nobody. It is Beethoven ... he is everything!" To a Christian a similar question comes: Who am I? Who are you? We are nobody! Christ is everything! Quote this article on your site | Views: 335 | Print | E-mail
