Every day we die a little. A newborn baby gives up the comfort and warmth of the mother's womb in order to have life. A child gives up the security of home life in order to start school. A student gives up the comfort of the structured academic life in order to graduate. A young man or woman gives up the accustomed family life in order to marry. The daily deaths come in countless other ways too: broken relationships, illness, divorce, death of a loved one. One man counts his daily deaths by the number of times he gets up in the morning to go to a job he hates. Another's daily death is not to be able to find work at all.
