Several years a ago, in a book entitled "Faxes to God," one of the messages read as follows: Dear God, I raised our own four boys and one girl ... and they came so fast that I always had two in diapers. One year I had a first-grader, a kindergartner and four preschoolers. You remember, that was the year I baby-sat the Indian baby while her mother taught school in Wyoming. Then they started growing up and could tie their own shoes and make their own bologna sandwiches and you found a brain-damaged teenager who needed special high school help for three years. I did that. Now for years and years I have had this little granddaughter in the house and she is finally entering high school. Just tell me one thing, God. Are you going to make me raise children until I get it right? Or is it that I do get it right and that is the reason I am chosen for this task? Your tired servant, Wilma One of the principal reasons we gather together each week is to get it right! We have been chosen for this task. We have been chosen to proclaim the Good News of God's great love for all mankind, so that all mankind might believe. And should you ever send a FAX to God signed, "Your tired servant," you probably are "getting it right." Quote this article on your site | Views: 360 | Print | E-mail
