Never before has a visiting leader had the honor of being picked up at Andrews Air Force Base, the typical landing spot for modern leaders.  That changed this week as President Bush drove out to the airport base.

After the plane landed, Pope Benedict the 16^th was placed into the presidential limo.  The Pope said, ?I must show you that I am a servant of mankind and humble myself by driving you in the limo.?  At first, President Bush was hesitant but finally agreed.

Further down the road, the Pope accidentally went through a stop sign.  The police pulled the limo over.  The policeman looks in the limo window and is perplexed.  He goes back to his squad car, calls dispatch and says, ?I just pulled over someone real important, and I don?t know what to do.?

?Well, who is it?? his dispatcher says, ?The mayor?  The governor? The president??
?I don?t know,? the officer responds, ?but the Pope?s his chauffer!?

We certainly are honored to have Pope Benedict visiting America.
