The great missionary David Livingstone returned to England after serving in Africa for 16 years. He went to his old school and addressed the students. They saw a man with a face worn and thin, a man whose arm was disabled from the bite of a lion, and a man who had been inflicted with fever. Included in his words to those students was this testimony: "Do you know what sustained me during those 16 years of exile in Africa? The passage that helped me most was 'Lo, I will be with you always even unto the end of the world!' " Livingstone knew that Christ, the living Bread, would guide him every day in this world, as well as into everlasting life.
